Karen Eddington
Karen Eddington has helped thousands of women decode the emotional rollercoaster through laughter and encouraged them to let go of their insecurities. Her interactive and understanding style has helped many understand why it is hard to feel confident. "To encourage you to think and act more positively about self-worth, starting in the home." Karen understands the daily burdens many women and teens are facing. She is the creator of a self-worth outreach center which extends services across the United States. Her illustrated self help book, Today, I Live... A Gift of Peace for Girls at any Age has been highly requested in schools, therapist offices, and even in the business community. Her passion for self worth education can be traced back to high school and college where she felt intense pressure to be thin, perfect, and perform in order to be accepted. Karen took her experience and began research with over 500 high school students on body image as part of her college thesis. She later went on to coach high school cheerleading leading her team to earn the American School Spirit Award, with a feature spot on ESPN for focusing on leadership versus stereotypes. Karen has taught entrepreneurship classes, potty trained a toddler, interviewed thousands of women, researched pressures teens face and she participates in coalitions to strengthen the community. She lives for the days when she can pull down the blinds and dance like a robot with her kids. She is married to Cory Eddington, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
